Thriving Places Evaluation 2023
Background
Thriving Places is a 10 year programme which started in 2013 and is now used to deliver the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership's duties relating to Locality Planning and the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
Each Thriving Place has an action plan and the approach is based on the following principles:
- Empowering local people to have a real say in decisions that affect the local area
- Supporting local community groups, organisations and services to engage with local people
- Bringing together community groups, services and organisations to improve the quality of people's lives in the local area
In 2023 an evaluation was undertaken to find out what can be learned from peoples' experience of Thriving Places, encourage people to think about different aspects of a place and what can be improved or done differently going forward to help reduce poverty, deprivation and inequalities in Glasgow's most deprived neighbourhoods.
It was important that Glasgow Community Planning Partnership listen to the views and opinions of people from different backgrounds and abilities, as they are the experts about their place/ neighbourhood or area.

Evaluation by the Glasgow Centre for Population Health of key local stakeholders' views in each of the ten Thriving Places areas. The report aims to reflect on the progress made in each of the Thriving Places communities over the past three years.

Strategic Partnership Report
