Thriving Places Conference
The first Thriving Places Conference was held in the Lighthouse in Glasgow city centre on 26 March 2018. The aim of the conference was to bring together people actively involved in Thriving Places to reflect on progress to date and consider how it could be improved upon.
The conference was attended by 109 people; a mix of community representatives, practitioners and managers from local areas covered by Thriving Places and organisations within the public and third sectors.
A number of recommendations were identified from the discussions on the day:
Produce a Thriving Places Charter and Partnership Agreements
Promote Thriving Places and Improve Communications
Improve Consultation, Engagement with Communities and Organisations Working Meaningfully with Communities
Bring Together Existing Staff to Support Thriving Places
Ensure Consistency and Continuity of Funding
