The South West Area covers the two Local Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs) of Govan & Craigton and Greater Pollok & Newlands / Auldburn.

Each local Community Planning Partnership is represented by a Board which consists of elected members from Community Planning Partners, key local bodies, and community residents.

The local Community Planning Partnerships have some degree of autonomy on how Community Planning is delivered within their own areas, and they are able to prioritise local activities within the overall Community Planning framework in the city.
