The Govan and Craigton Voluntary Sector Network and the Greater Pollok Voluntary Sector Form have recently merged to create a new Voluntary Sector Network for the South West of Glasgow.
The launch of the Network will take place at the Business Centre, Cardonald College on Tuesday 19 April at 1.30 – 3.00.
A recent survey of voluntary sector organisations identified strong support for the development of a voluntary sector network across the South West area. The survey identified that voluntary sector organisations wanted a network which would enable them to share information about what is going on across the South West area, to identify gaps in services, and to identify opportunities to for joint working to deliver better services.
The Network also aims to create a stronger voice for the Voluntary Sector, by creating better links with Community Planning partners and providing a voice for the voluntary sector in decision-making.
If you would like to find out more about the new Voluntary Sector Network in the South West, you are warmly invited to attend the launch.
The launch event will also bring you up-to date on important changes that are happening at the citywide level.
· Changes in the Community Planning structures in you area
· The development of the Interface at the city level and how the voluntary sector can be involved
The launch will finish up with a networking session, where you can find out more about other voluntary sector organisations in the South West and make new connections.
