The Langside & Linn area is an aggregation of the Council wards of Langside and Linn. It includes many distinct communities including Langside, Battlefield, Kingspark, Mount Florida, Croftfoot, Simshill, Cathcart, Castlemilk and Carmunnock. The population of the entire area is just over 50,000, or 9% of the total city population, making it one of the smallest local CPP areas in Glasgow.
 
Together with the Pollokshields & Southside Central local CPP, it forms the larger South East Strategic Planning area. The South East area is served locally by a dedicated team of support staff from the Community Planning section of Glasgow City Council.
