Glasgow City Council's Land and Environmental Services working in partnership with Glasgow Housing Association and with additional funding from the Community Planning Partnership have undertaken a comprehensive survey of all play areas to highlight neighbourhoods which required new or improved play areas.

Improvements across the area are ongoing and are being achieved with £280,000 funding from Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Housing Association and the Community Planning Partnerships.

Rachel Smith, Landscape Design Manager with Glasgow City Council's Land and Environmental Services said. "Partnership working has been absolutely key to achieving vibrant new play areas in the South East.  This was particularly true when developing the St Andrew's Drive play area in Pollokshields."
