Glasgow North East

The Glasgow North East area is an aggregation of the Council wards of Springburn and (part of) the North East ward which takes in communities to the North-East of Hogganfield Loch. It includes many distinct communities including Springburn, Sighthill, Roystonhill, Balornock, Barmulloch, Robroyston, Millerston and Blackhill. The population of the entire area is just 43,500, or 7.5% of the total city population, making it the smallest local CPP area  in Glasgow.

Together with the Maryhill/Kelvin & Canal local CPP, it forms the larger North Strategic Planning area. The North area is served locally by a dedicated team of support staff from the Community Planning section of Glasgow City Council.

This section reports on the work of the Glasgow North East local Community Planning Partnership and the decision making of the local Board.
