North Glasgow Youth Diversionary Programme

The North Glasgow Youth Diversionary Programme is a new initiative that targets young people who may be at the risk of offending.  Young people are referred to the programme by the partners and carry out work on personal development plans. As part of this, they attend sessions with various service providers that focus on helping them to address personal, behavioural and educational issues which they may have. The young people are be regularly monitored by the programme co-ordinator and their process is logged electronically for partners to indentify current needs and information share where appropriate. Each young person on the programme is also allocated a mentor if they require one who will guide them through the programme. During the course of their individual programme each young person is also introduced and sign posted to the relevant youth provision within their area to allow them to engage in mainstream youth activity.
