Following a competitive recruitment process, 6 local young people from North Glasgow successfully secured a four year apprenticeship on the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership’s first, fully funded apprenticeship initiative, delivered by City Building. Over the last year, the six local apprentices, have developed their skills in plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating,

Specifically targeting areas of high unemployment, the initiative aims to develop new skills and employment opportunities for individuals living in employment black spots.

The successful apprentices were selected for their potential and natural ability and one year on, they are going from strength to strength.
