The Baillieston, Shettleston & Greater Easterhouse area is an aggregation of the Council wards of Shettleston, Baillieston, and (part of) the North East ward which takes in Greater Easterhouse. It includes many distinct communities including Tollcross, Shettleston, Mount Vernon, Baillieston, Garrowhill, Easterhouse, Ruchazie and Garthamlock. The population of the entire area is over 74,000, almost 13% of the total city population. It is the biggest local CPP areas in terms of area and and the second largest in terms of population in the City.
 
Together with the East Centre & Calton local CPP, it forms the larger East Strategic Planning area. The East area is served locally by a dedicated team of support staff from the Community Planning section of Glasgow City Council.
