GLASGOW COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD SCHEME 2012

The fourth year of the Glasgow Community Champion Awards Scheme has been launched with nominations now requested for the first event which will focus on East Glasgow (covering Baillieston, Shettleston and Greater Easterhouse / East Centre and Calton).  The categories have changed slightly from last year and are now:

  • Community Champion Team Award  For teams between the ages of 18 and 60
  • Community Champion Individual Award  For individuals between the ages of 18 and 60
  • Public Services Community Champion Award  This award will reward a public service team or individual who demonstrate an outstanding contribution to help those in the community in which they work.  They will have gone that extra mile to provide help and support that has made a real difference to the local community.
  • Emergency Services Community Champion Award
  • Senior Community Champion Award  For individuals or teams aged 60 or over
  • Young Community Champion Award  For individuals or teams aged 17 and under
  • Health and Wellbeing Award
  • Sports Community Champion Award

The Community Champions for East Glasgow will be announced at a community event on Thursday 18 February 2012 in John Wheatley College, East End Campus, 2 Haghill Road, Glasgow, G31 3SR.
