GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL - AREA COMMITTEES
Does your organisation need funding? - We can help
Are you a local community or voluntary organisation?
Do you need funding to help enhance your activities?
If you answered yes to both these questions then Glasgow City Council Area Committees could help.
Area Committees provdie a structure for local decision-making within Glasgow City Council that deal with council services at a local level. There are 21 Area Committees covering Glasgow, of which 6 are within the North East area. These cover the council multi-member wards Calton, Springburn, East Centre, Shettleston, Baillieston and North East. They meet on a six weekly cycle, have local community input and your local elected councillors are members of the area committee covering the area in which you live.
The role of the Committees is to ensure that council services reflect the needs of the areas they serve.

What can funding be used for - assistance to help improve current activities or to develop new ones.
