Christmas Tree Recycling
From 26 December, until 13 January
Glasgow City Council is offering a Christmas Tree recycling service at three locations around the City - Pollok Country Park, Kelvingrove Park and Alexandra Park.

While Scotland gears up towards Homecoming 2009 and 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns in January, Glaswegians will first be celebrating the life of St Kentigern, the city’s patron saint.

Glasgow’s George Square will be the venue for a unique event - Burns Illuminated - between 23 - 25 January which will see the front of the City Chambers act as a giant screen for a projection that will depict the life and times of Scotland’s national poet.
