There are ten Local Community Planning Partnerships (LCPPs) in Glasgow. Glasgow Community Planning Ltd is organised into five area teams, each of which assists in the delivery of Community Planning across two local Community Planning Partnerships (LCPPs).
The South West Area team supports the two local Community Planning Partnership structures in:
Govan & Craigton; and
Greater Pollok & Newlands/Auldburn
The South West Area is home to over 115,000 people in total with over 60,000 residents in Govan & Craigton and over 55,000 in Greater Pollok & Newlands/Auldburn.
The South West is a large and diverse area that includes neighbourhoods along the south bank of the River Clyde stretching from Shieldhall to Tradeston. The eastern boundary follows the motorway south as far as Pollok Country Park and then moves further east to incorporate the communities of Pollokshaws, Mansewood, Newlands and Cathcart. All the communities to the West of this boundary are included within the South West area.
You can view a map of the area on our homepage and find out further information about each of the local partnership areas by visiting the Area Profiles section above.
