The Partnership & Development Team within Democratic Services, Glasgow City Council, co-ordinates development activity on behalf of the Partnership. This includes the management of relevant funds specifically allocated to tackling poverty and deprivation in the City.
All Community Planning Partnerships including Glasgow previously managed investment of Fairer Scotland Fund allocations for their area. From 2010/11 onwards, this fund is no longer 'ring-fenced' in Local Authority areas. However, Glasgow City Council continues to allocate significant resources to supporting on-going activities on behalf of the Community Planning Partnership. For 2010/11 onwards, this allocation has been integrated with relevant funds sourced from other Council Services and arms length organisations, to create a single 'Integrated Grants Fund'. This fund will be managed by the Partnership and Development team within Democratic Services on behalf of the City Council and other Community Planning Partners.
The Integrated Grants Fund will be used to invest in a range of Partnership programmes and initiatives that support service improvements and to create lasting change that will benefit the most disadvantaged communities and people.
Investment from the integrated fund will be underpinned by the development and delivery of the Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) for Glasgow. The purpose of the Single Outcome Agreement is to identify areas for improvement and to deliver better outcomes for the people of Glasgow and Scotland, through specific commitments made by Glasgow’s Community Planning Partners and Scottish Government.
