Glasgow North East Local Community Planning Partnership (LCPP) area includes the neighbourhoods of Springburn, Royston, Sighthill, Balornock and Petershill.  It also takes in the western part of the new 'Glasgow North East' multi-member ward and this includes the neighbourhoods of Barmulloch, Provanmill and Robroyston.  The population of this area is 43,800 persons (just under 8% of the total city population) . It is one of the ten local CPP areas in Glasgow.

Together with the  Maryhill Kelvin & Canal   LCPP, Glasgow North East forms the North Area which is served locally by a dedicated team of staff from Glasgow Community Planning Ltd.
